Patrick Kane has incredibly special moment stolen by video review
The scene last night in Chicago was one that legends are made of. It seemed as though, in what could be his final game as a Blackhawk, that Patrick Kane had done the impossible and scored an overtime buzzer beater. The goal sent the United Center into an absolute frenzy.
Ultimately the call on the ice was the right one, but that doesn't mean that anyone has to like the result of the review.
For a few moments it seemed like the United Center of old and the vibes were reministent of the Hawks Cup winning days. This time though the referees and video review clearly got the call right, showing the puck crossed the line milliseconds after time expired.
Even though the goal didn't count, this atmosphere is something that I'm sure Kane won't forget.
