Chicago Blackhawks star Connor Bedard has thrilled NHL audiences for the past year, but now he's facing backlash after his latest attempted move.

Game one in the history of the Utah Hockey Club was one for the ages, as the team not only game away with the dominant 5-2 victory, but they trolled the division rival Blackhawks along the way too. The game was full of skill, with young star Dylan Guenther scoring the first goal in Utah Hockey Club history, but on the other side, there were plenty of worrying signs for Chicago.

Connor Bedard had assists on both goals in the defeat, but it was his attempted Michigan that is now drawing plenty of backlash, with some criticizing his use of it, while others worry for his health given the amount of players that were around the net when he tried it.

On social media, that backlash came in all forms, with some criticizing the arrogance of the move while others believe play like this won't allow him to play 82 games in a season despite his fantastic play all over the ice.

Last season, Bedard faced similar criticism for his overly skilled style of play, with the old-school hockey crowd seemingly not taking to his game, but given his incredible talent, he became one of the leagues most talked about players. Regardless of your feelings on the Michigan and this type of hockey, it's hard to deny that Bedard is one of the most skilled players in the league at just 19-years of age, and if he can channel that skill properly, there's absolutely no reason why he can't become one of, if not the league's best player during his tenure.
